Reese. Schedule No. 196 of land sold since last meeting, amounting to 68 aores, 2 perches, at. 127 ss, was read and approved. The following applications to transfer wore approved on the usual conditions: T. Sexton, seotion 68, Block VIII., Mangaliao, to Mr E. J. B. William!!; P. H. Thurston, section 7, Blook 111., Wairoa, to J. V. Smith; D. Crewe, seotion 14, Block IV,, Makuri, to G, A, Shannon. The following applications to capitalise were approved:—P. H. Thurston, seotion 7, Block 111., Wairoa; M. M. Browne, flection 2 r Blo«kXlL,.Or6ua;E. T. Harrison, seotion 14, Block XII., Oronaj.JD, Chamier, section "if' Blook VIHj, Makuri; and By Crowe, section>i;i Block VIII., MaDgahao,' to 'capitalise, and obtain title, A new license waf ordered to be issued to Mr C. T, Simpson' for Bootion 55, Block XIII,, Pohangina. .The' Commissioner reported :that the balance of the small runs, Maungakaretu Blook, and the Pastoral'vßuns,' Sea Coast, would be thrown open for application on May 27tb,.1867. The Secretary was in-
structed to inform Mr Birnie that the land he applied for to lease was native land, and consequently the Board had no power to deal with it. An appliescation was received froraH. Manns for <. protection for cost of improvements effected by him on Mr W. H. Barry's section 11, Block XIV. Makuri. It. was resolved to refer hira to Mr Rhpfe who is Mr Barry's agent.; 'On- -the'-, motion of Mr McCardle it was resolywl:'. ,; to allow the transfer of section 7 blo|k • VII from D, Bell to E.
