Town Lands Trust,- in connection with the school question. He said the Trust was noted for making some splendid investment, and it was a pity thoy could not be compelled to live on their last purchase on the Dixon estate after fooling away the Trust money on it. He considered the site unsuitable for a school and moved" That any site that should be selected by the Board .for a second school should bo to the noftb of QueenBtyeot." ;i'r .

Mr E. Feist, chairman o£.tha.frust, .corrected several mis-statements of Mr Hogg's. Mr Renal! 'offered tra gniueas towards purchasing Mr Woodroofe's and then followed up by his sections near the railway station for a second school site. Mr 'Caselberg was not m favor -of Mr Woodroofe's sito owing to its proximity to a main thoroughfare which would ba dangerous to tho children, ~ and an annoyance to the teaching staff," there would also, be a difficulty with regard to the size of the land. . . Mr Hogg stated that be.had spokoa to several members of the. Board'-ylio said they would' rather buy a -site and hand tho - debt over 'is a legacy to tbe Masterton people, than to. see the school-put upon a "leasehold of forty-two years, and. moved that this meeting strongly recommends the Hall street section as a second School site.
