CARTERTON—TUESDAY. (Before Mr Voif Siubmsr, R.M., and Mr R, Fairbrother, J. P.) Constable R. Darby, v. John Seater —Drunk on the public street. The defendant, who was out on bail, did not appear, the bail (£1) was estreated, with costs 7s. Constable R. Darby v, Walter Morrison. Giving an unstamped order. Mr W. Parker appeared for the defendant. Henry Symonds deposed that he was working for defendant on January last, and got an order on Mr Feist, but the latter would not cash it as it was unstamped. He saw defendant write the order. • To Mr Parker: He took tho order to Mr Feist, but got nothing for it as ic was unstamped. Witness did not know it required a stamp. The Court inflicted a line of 20s and costs 17s. Railway Department v. G. M. Gardener. Allowing his horses to stray on the railway line. Defendant pleaded guilty but said that the animals had strayed from the paddock without his knowledge. Fiued 20s and coats 15s 3d, Same v, W. Booth jun,,—Allowing a oow and calf to stray 011 the railway line. Fined 10s, costs 15s 3d, On the application of the Clerk of the Court, the following names were struck off tho rolls for Wairarapa South John Hume, Leonard Wilson, Walter Bishop, James Martin, John Gallie, and William Greeks.
