On and after the first of April the price of gas for cooking and heating purposes will be reduced to 6s per 1000 feet. This is lower than the price charged in any other part of New Zealand, and with the exception of Melbourne and Sydney, lower than in any town throughout Australasia. The company will also supply cooking stoves at •cost price,-on the deferred payment Byatem, and all stoves purchased from the company will be fitted and connected by thoir employees free of charge.
