Hu Worship, tho Mayor of Wellington, has received a letter from Captain Lako, of H.M.B. Nelion, in rop!y to one which he had sent on, behalf of the Council, thanking, the officers and men for the assistance which they had reudorod at the late fire. In his reply Captain Lako Btated that on behalf of the officers and meuoftbaNolson he had to thank his Worship for conveying to thorn the thanks of the citismß of Wellington for the services which they had rendered at tho fire on Sunday last.
