The Greytown Rifle Volunteers mustered for church parade yesterday under Captain Cameron, Lieuts. Porritt and Johnston. Tho Papawai Company, under Captain C. Jury, was also present and the two companies numbered 50 of all ranks, which, with 16 bandsmen, made a total of b'6 on parade. After service, conducted tytho Hon. Chaplain if the G'eytown Corps (the Hev. \Y. T. Western) the Volunteers were marched back to the Post Office before boing dismissed Captain Cameron heartily thanked the Masterton men for their valuable assistance and for so hands mie'y responding to the request of the Greytown Company for their services, He said he hoped that upon somo future occasion tho Greytown Volunteers might pay the Mastodon men a similar compliment by assisting at some of their ceremonies. After dinner at tho Forector's Arms Hotel the band treated the Greytown public to some excellent music until the time for leaving for home, Mr J, Bentley /ledtheband and Col.
