The totalizators were patronised to the
extent of £llls during the day, the largest dividend being paid on Charmer (£7 35,) and the sinalleston Normanby (18b), when the eleven sanguine investors were handed 1 their money back, less the commission. The official work was carried out without a' hitch, the credit of which is duo to the methodical manner hi which Mr R. R. Armstrong makes his arrangements. The races were not of such anexoiting character as on tke first day, the Produce and Hurdles being almost foregone conclusions. Mr P. .F. Tancred's handsome horse Forester

The 8 Grand Stand Handicap was an easy 0 thing for Teddy Yuille, who came away in the straight and won comfortably, Princess Royal making a very good fight for the honor.
