To bo run under the New Zealand Metropolitan Rules. No qualification Fee. All entries mußt be made subject to the conditions that all disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing, shall bo decided by a majority of Stewards present, or whom they may appoint, and that such decision shall be final and binding in all cases. . Nominations for tlie Handicap Hurdles, ] T.C.J.C, Handicap, and Clarcville Handicap, to be made in writing, stating name, pedigree, performances, description and age of horse, and the colors of the rider, and to bo sent in accompauled by the Nomination Fee to the Hon, Sec. (G, W, Deller), Carterton, on or beforo Wednesday, the 29th December, 1886, fit 9 p.m. Weights to bo declared on Friday, tho 7th of January, 1887, and' published in the local_ newspaper. Acceptances and General Entries to be made on or before Monday, the 17th January, 1887, at 9 p.m. Three entries or tho public money will be withhold. No protest will be considered unless lodged with the Secretary within ten minutes after the race, accompanied by a deposit of two pounds, which shall be forfeited if the stewards aro of opinion that the protest is frivolous or vexatious. All jockeys to ride in the colors nominated, or a fine of 1 sov. will be enforced. The saddling bell will ring at 11,30 a.m., first race to Btart at 12 sharp,' The New Zoaland Metropolitan rules to apply in all cases where not providod for in this programme.
