RULES AND REGULATIONS. To be run under tho. New Zealand Metropolitan llules. -No qualification Fee. All entries must bo made subject to the conditions that nil disputes, claims, mid objections arising out of the racing, shall bo decided by a majority of Stewards present, or whom tijjjy may appoint, and that such decision sliall be final and binding in all cases. Nominations for the Handicap Hurdles, T.C.J.O, Handicap, and Olaroyille Handicap, to be made ill writing, stating name, pedigree, performances, description and age of horso, and the colors of the rider, and to be sent in accompanied by the Nomination Fee to the Hon. Sec. (G. AV, Dellcr), Carterton, on or before "Wednesday, the 29th December, 1880, at 9 p.m. Weights to be declared on Friday, the 7th of January, 1887, and published in the local newspaper. Acceptances and General Entries to bo mado on or before Monday, the 17th January, 1887, ot!) p.m, Three entries or tlio public money will be withheld, No protest will be considered unless lodged with tho Sccretarywithiii ten minutes after tho race, accompanied by a deposit of two pounds, which shall bo forfeited if the stewards aro of opinion that the protest is frivolous or vexatious. All jockeys to rido in tho colors, nominated, or a fino of 1 sov, will be enforced. The raddling bell will ring at 11.30a,m., first race to start at 12 sharp. A horso to run in tho hack race must comply with the following Conditions, viz., (1) It must bo in use as a boua fide hack. (2) It must not bavo been trained, i e., galloped or sweated in clothing or rug, at least for six months beforo this race meeting. (3) It must never have been entered for any other race, the advertised stake of which being moro than fifty pounds.
