TARATAHI-CARTERTON ROAD BOARD.

The ordinary monthly nieeting of tliej Taratalii-Carterton Board twas held: on Monday; Present—Messrs B. Boys (Chairman), H. Braitliwaite, W. Booth, H. R. Bunny, E, W. Dorset, W., Parker. J. H.;, \Volters) said he thought that it was a very appropriate season to.present the illuminated address l which, he (Mr Wolfers) had framed to the Chairman,-which was done, and the Chairman (Mr Boys) returned thanks for the gift in a few well-chosen words. Correspondence was read from 1 the- < Colonial Treasurer's Department sidy under the Local Bodies . Loan AckS, 1886. ■ Tenders were opened for the the fol-lowing-works : re-formation/ 30 ohains Reynold's road and 20 chains formation on Hugh's line. The tenders, were considered far too high and were,;in co'nse quenco rejected,' fresh tenders to te called for.
