Tlie Civil Service Examination Returns for the October examinations are gazetted. In the junior division 202 candidates were examined: 111 passed, 2 are still undecided, and 89 have failed, Of the candidates who have passed, no less than 89 have signified their desire to enter the Civil Service, The highest number of marks made was 2008, by Angus Poison, ofDunedin..
