MASTERTON CRICKET CLUB.
A general meeting of the above Club was held last evenintr at Mr W. G. Beard'B office. Mr Beard, Vice-President, occupied the chair. The minuteß of the last general meeting were road.and'confirmed
A letter was received from Mr.P. G. Moore resigning the office of Captain. It was resolved on the motion of Mr Bremner that-Mr Moore's resignation be received with regret,. . Mr McKenzie proposed that in future each team elect its own Captain.—Carried.. It was also decided to appoint a Practice Captain and a Deputy-practice Captain, Mr • Littlejohn was .elected Practice Captain and Mr Perry Deputy. It was resolved on the motion of Mr Beard, ut That the Maaterton Club guarantee the sum of L 4 towards the erection,of a pump on the Oval, and that a tee consisting of Messrs Bremner, McKenzie, Perry and tho mover be appointed .to canvass for subscriptions not to exceed 5s each from members of the Club j also to ask the Tradesmen's Cricket Club to guarantee a similar amount." - _ The meeting thon adjourned till 8 p.m. on Thursday next, A meeting of tho Concert Committee will be held on Wednesday evening next,
