No scratching of horses allowed except through tho Secretary, and not lator than thirty minutes before the time of starting. All entries and Nominations to bo made in writing, sealed and addressed to tho Secretary, Entrance money to bo enclosed, with color, sex, name, age and pedigree of the horse, ! name of the owner, and colors of the rider; in case of protest the same must be lodged with tho Secretary in writing within fifteenndnutesafter the race is run,.with a deposit of two guineas, ouch deposit to be forfeited .if the protest is not bustained.
