. New Plymouth, December 6. Two young ladies saved tho life of a little girl who foil into the lake in the recreation ground on Saturday, The little girl, who is about six years old, was playing on the spring-board, near the bathinghouse, when she fell off into deep water. Miss Thompson, daughter of the.CollectOr of Customß, and Miss Tpddj-.-he'r'-.'cousin,' who were bathing near at hand, the accident, and, being export swimmers, swam to where the child was struggling, and seized it as it going down'Uhe third time. Miss Thompson siipp/oried the child till Miss Todd'rea'ched the two managed the'' y dnild safely ashore, Miss Thompson is,''only fourteen years of age, and Miss Todd, is about-Beventeen. The water where the child fell in is about twenty feet deep. .
