A meeting of the Stewards of the Mas-tetton-Opaki Jockey Club was held on Saturday •eveninp, when the following now members were elected :—Messrs O. K. Meredith-Kaye, Jas, Macara, Joseph; fonalli K. MoKenzio, A. Grant, D. E, Toohill, G. Maunaill.and F.'D. Polling It Wasresblved that the Club retain tht gatoß andsaddling paddock at the forth, coming meeting, and that Messrs Lowes and lorns offer the remaiuing privileges bj auction. The Secretary was requested to make the Usual arrangements for a Band. The railway authorities hive' notified that tho trains to and from the course will stop opposite'the entrance gate, so that passengerjunay alight within afev chains of the course.
The Club is improving the road to the course,.arid is going to have a.cutting made, to the creek so that the. approach will be easy of access. .
