No qualification Fee. • Nominations for tho Handicap Hurdles, Flying, L.V.J.C and Martinborough Handicaps close with the Secretary at Martinborough on WEDNESDAY, 17tli November, at 9 p.m. Weights declared for Handicap Hurdles, Flying; and L.V.J.C, on FRIDAY, December 3rd, at" p.m. Acceptances for same on WEDNESDAY, December 15th, at!) p.m. Weights for tho Martinborough Handicap to be declared on the courso after the L.V.J.C. is run. Acceptances for the same to be made 30 minutes b'iorc tho race takes place. Tho sadding bell will ring at 11,30 a.m., tho first race to start at 12 noon sharp. Each race will start punctually at the time appearing in the correct cards of the races, No scratching of horses allowed except through the Secretary, and not later than thirty minutes before the time of starting. All entries and Nominations to be made in writing, sealed and addressed to tho Secretary. Entrance money to bo enclosed, with color, sex, name, age and pedigree of the horse, namo of the owner, and colors of the rider; in case of protest the same must be lodged with the Secretary in writing within fifteen n.inutes after the race is run, with a deposit of two guineas, such deposit to be forfeited if tho protest is not sustained. The final payment for tho Hurdles, Flying, and L.V.J.C, Handicaps to be made on the course an hour before the appointed time of starting foi these events, In all nominations for handicaps the previous performances are to bo given,.. All protests must be made in writing and lodged with the Secretary with a' deposit of £1 within fifteen minutes after passing the winning post,'the deposit to be forfeited if the Stewards consider the protest frivolous or vexatious, Owners are particularly requested to observe that to bo avoid being fined, notice of Bcratciiing must be handed to the Secretary fifteen minutes before the time appointed to start. Nominations for Handicaps will close at the Royai Hotol, Featherston, on Wednesday, the first day of December at 8.30 p.m. Weight will be declared on Tuesday, the 14th December, at 8.30 p.m, Acceptances for Handicap to bo mado on Tuesday, 21st December, at 8,30 p.m. Tho winner of an advertised raco of £ls and over, after the declaration of weights, to carry five lbs extra in F. R, C. Handicap. No Qualification fee required. Fivo per cent will bo deducted from the gross amount of any stakes. Horses walking over will receive fifty per cent of the stakes.
