W, Woodroofe, \ offering three-quarters of an acre, situated in Hall and Perry-streets, having a front- ' age to both these streets. 1 Mr Muir thought it would be a mistake ; to build a school on three-qaartors of an acre of land. ' j The Chairman did not think the Trus-
tees could übq the money for this purpose. It was pointed out the Trustees could buy the land and lease it to the Board. Messrs Feist, Muir, and the Secretary were appointed to wait on Mr Woodroofe with reference to the subject with power to act. In reply to the Chairman, Mr Hogg said it was likely that the vote would veiy probably lapse if not. taken advantage of at once. There was evidently an intention on the part of the Govornment to do away with Bubaidien to Boards, and they would lose the money. It was understood the Board would lease a site.
