The mau murdered was Robert Taylor, No doubt this wreckage is the remains v>f tho same vessel which left the island cutter rigged, and flying a black flag. She was occupied by the two men named, Tho New Zealand Government offered a reward of £3OO for their apprehension. The finding of tho beam, with tho tonnaw and official number cut upon it, and also. the ; Board with the name of tho vessel, appears conclusive proof that Bhe has finished her career,"

Tlio Auckland police authorities liave forwarded a fuller personal description of Caffrey to. the Sydney police for indentitication of the mini in custody, and have also-coinmunicatod with old Aucklandura now rosidont in Sydney acquainted with CaQrey. •
