Tlio request was not-acceded B Moved by Mr Booth, Becontydbyffr ' Braithwaite, That thiß Board-fimfthe Local Bodies Loan Act 1886.—Corned.' Mr B. P. Perry again waited on the Board in reference to tho road at his farm, and pointed out that as far as ho was concerned the road was of no benefit, to him, but it would benefit Mr Rayner, and he (Mr Perry) was anxious that the matter should off his hands.—The matter was agreed to. Mr T. Price waited on the Board in reference to laying a tram to his saw-mill at the West Taratahi, and asked to be allowed to erect fcw bridges over the Maungatarari River. Tho Board could not see its way cloar to grant tho aid Mr ■ • Price required, but agreed to point out the positiou where ho should place bridges so as not to interfero in the event of the Board wanting to bridge tho river in the ; amne locality, and he was further in-'' formed that he must make a written application containing certain particulars in respect to tho same beforo the Board could grant the application. The Clerk was authorised to sond an application to the Government for the reversion of the loans uudur tho Roads and Bridgcß Construction Act, 1882 to the Local Bodioß Loan Act, 1886. Two separate petitions were presented for the purpose of being allowed to ' borrow £l5O and £SO rospootively to be spout in certatn localities. —lt wagresolved that the loans be applied for. It was moved as an amendment that a special meeting be held this day fortnight for the purpose of ascertaining what amount of loans to apply for, and that - the applications already made be deferred < till then. ' Some accounts,were passed for payment, and the meeting terminated.
