Stands 17 hands high. Immeiißo bono and fine temper. Sire Young Prince Charlie, by the imported Clydesdale, Old Prince Charlie —brod by Sir James Nicol Fleming. Prince Charlie's own brother, Prince; of Wales was champion of Scotland, and was sold for LISOO. In Gliristchurch in 1872, Old Prince Charlie, when three yoars otd, took first prizo against eight competitors, six of which wore imported. Napoleon, took first prizo for threo yoars in succession against all comers as a dry mare. RUFUS' dam Blossom, by Farmer's Glory, out of same dam as Pride of Cwiturbury, took second prize at the Agricultural Show at Jlastorton in, 1877, out ot a field of eight; at Cartertou first in 1878 for mares with foal at foot, when five competed. RUFUS, bred by his ownor at Manaia, admittedly comos from a pure Clydesdale strain on both sideß, and bears evidence of this by the fact that, as regards size, bone, powerful build, symmetry, and height, he is equal to the finest liorso that has yet been imported, and is acknowledged as the best horse ever shown in this district,
