TELEGRAPHIC.

[United Press Association] Wellington, This day. In July the Marine Department wrote to the United States fishery bureau asking for a further supply of ova of different species, and a reply has just beeu received from Professor Baird who states that he will - have great pleasure in meeting the wishes of the New Zealand Government as far as -possible. He thinks he can supply as many white fish eggs as are wanted, but he is somewhat doubtful as to the land-locked salmon and Californian trout. There will be no charge for white fish except expenses of forwarding from Michagan to San Franscisco. Probably, he snyß, the ' bureau will have to obtain trout from isomeone else.
