An anonymous circular has been issued in the 'Punjaub, urging the Native tribes to rise in revolt and expel the English from India, Malmrajah Phuloep Singh, Rajah of the Punjaub, is suspected of being the author of the'circular in question. Melbourne, September 9. News has been received from Mr Macdonald, Presbyterian missionary at Havannah. Harbour, New Hebrides, that the French are forcibly taking possession of land 'in those islands, Further advices from Mr Macdonald the New Hebrides missionary, report that a French, company are .fepciii" through land belonging to tho Presbyterian mission, (f which the Synod is Trustee, the title being perfect. The French Commandant has claimed compensation, and has'threatened to. burn the houses on the Mission land' on a most hollow pretext, Mr Macdonald had appealed to Admiral Tyron to take measures for the protection of the mission.
