THE GRAND ANNUAL SHOW Under the auspices and diroction of THE WAIRARAPA & EAST COAST PASTORAL & AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY Will bo held on the Society's Show Grotrodß at Carterton on WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 3bd, 1886. The show will include Horses, Cottle, Sheep, rigs, Implomonts, Farm and Dairy Produce, Vehicle's, and Industrial Exhibits. The Society will, as in previous years, offer about fifty Goldand Silver Medals, as well as cash prizes, in each of the above stated sections of exhibits, and ir* addition thereto a largo number of valuable special prizes in cash and in plate have been promised, bringing the total amount of prizes fully up to the averago of the last three years. Winners of medals will have the option of taking in lieu thereof £1 cash for silver medals and £2 cash for gold medals. A Leaping Match, a Shearing Match, and a Irial of Sheep Dogs will tako place during the afternoon, Programmes and Prize Lists giving full information as to conditions of entry, regulations of judging, and all other details, are now being prepared and will be published aud circulated shortly. Arrangements will bo made to run special trains at reduced rates, also to have the Show Day proolaimed a bank and general holiday throughout tho valley. Intending exhibitors are informed that ENTRIES close on SATURDAY, tho 23rd October, 1886, noon, either at tho Secretary's office, Carterton, or at the offices of Messrs R. Brown & Co., Maatcrton, F.
