! Ohbistchurcit, September 6. At the City Council mooting to-night a report was read from three independant architects with reference to'tha seareas to, tho stability of the new municipal offices. The architects stated that a few departures had beou made from the specifications, but they wore not of any great importance, and would not affect the stability of tho building. Tho roof was found to rather weak, and they suggested that it should be strengthened by a Somicirclo girder. They havo forwarded a letter to Mr S. H. Seager, architect for the building, complimenting him on tho cato he had taken in preparing tho plans and specifications.

Mr Dick maintained that there should be 28 days, exclusive of the day on which it was passed. The Resident Magistrate reserved his decision.
