MASTERTON ROAD BOARD.
The usual monthly meetius of the Board took on Satwdat morning last, Mr W. H. Beetham in tho chair. ♦ Accounts amounting to £lO4 2stw»re passed for payment. A telegram wae received' from Mr ft. Moore, chairman of tjio Wharoaroa Road Board, stating that he waa unable to attend with the deputation, and asked thot they, would postpone after the session R8 he particulaaly to gee thu atatoment of'accounts. The postponement was agreed to. A letter was read from Mr P. Peterson stating that it was iiia intention to treat a fence on his ground, which would shut up tho Uppor Tau'eru road. He alio asked the Board, to allow him £5 to help clear the timber .on'the road, as he would hold the Board responsible for any damnjM tn his fences, the trees boing uew stand, in;?. ; lltsiijyttd that thu overseer be instructed, to see that the troos are Coat not to eweed'£3. 4^ A letter was received from Mr McKirty ooatractor, aaking thjt he be allowed to lay rails on the road so that he could obtain gravel from the Ruamahunga river, —Granted.
