Mr Callistir' submitted specifications for work on'.Portland road, and it was resolved that.tenders be called for the laid work according to specifications. A long discHßfflonJensued respecting the works which T.e're needed to bedone, and it was sesblyed that about .50 chains of footpath would have to be done, and also to open a drain on Richmond road. It was resolved that tenders be called for fornubg and kerbing footpath for about 25 chains, and also to make the wad up at the required places. It was resolved that the fire brisade affairs be loft in the hands of Messrs G. M. Gardenerand W. P. Allen to report at the neft meeting of the Board. Sundry accounts were passed for payment aoij the meeting adjourned, #
