IN the opinion of fch# Masterton Boroutfli Council damage to public and private property within the Borough is likely, to arise from the overflow of the Waipoua river by reason of stones, gravel, timber, and other impedimenta to its flow existing in certain places in the channel, wherefore the Council apply to you as iiuch Resident Magistrate to grant an order authorising the Borough to apply theßorough funds in or towards the removal of such impediments, and for that purpose to enter upon ; Buch stream' and upon the adjoining lands, notwithstanding the same may be private lands.
