SUSPECTED MURDER IN WELLINGTON.

• (United Press Association.) Wellington, this day... The body of a man named Mullens, who formerly kept the Olvdo Quay Hotel,- Oriental" Bay, was taken out of the harbor near the Lion Foundry, yesterday. The body bore marks of violonce, and as foul play is sußpeotod, a laborer named John Roberts has been arrested,

The coat- has been torn in several places, which shows a struggle must have taken place, and Mullens' body beaw marks of violence, the loft eyo is black and cut, and blood has been owing from the mouth, Mullens was about 35 years of age. Roberts gives his age as 55, though ho does not look it, and stoutly donics his guilt, stating. he doeß not remember what became of Mullens after they left the Branch Hotel.
