In re James Henry Grattan application for ordinary discharge, Mr Bunny on behalf of the Official Assignee opposed the application • A resolution was read, passed at a meeting of creditors, (as published in the Wairarapa- Daily yestbrday)'. Mr Bunny stated that the liabilities in the estate amounted to £llß 16b, and the assets, •consisting of book debts were put down at £SB Is, but had been found to be worthless.

ln.reply .to a question the debtor said ho' was employed at'' Chew's mill, and earned 10s per day. when the mill was at work, He filed in December kt. Since last January lie believed his earnings would average £'2 5s per week.' He had remitted ,£9 to his children since January. He had received no money beyond the wages he earned. He did not show a roll of notes to anyone about three weeks ago. He was not in the habit of gambling but was led away about eight months before he filed, and lost £l6, The amount was £2O. He became separated from his wife in November 1834, : She supported herap.lf and family chiefly. To His Honor: It cost him about £2 per week to live and clothe himself.
