From Tiraumea-Puketoi Special Settlement Association members that a track might be formed. From Surveyor General, ro survey of roads across the Tararua Range to Palmerston Korth. From the Colonial Seoretary stating that the newly eleoted Board was Gazetted on the 13th of May. From R. H. Rhodes re frontage on the jleviation of Toritea-Puketoi Road. FrojJjMaaterton Road Board re paying the award of £IOO, also copy of resolution re the exteution of time to pay off loans under the Roads and Bridges Construction A«t with reduction of interest. RESOLUTIONS, , That Mr Rhodes be written to informing him that when the Board ohtains possession of the the deviation T»ritea, that they will secure him the five or six ohainß frontage at the north-west corner, as desired, either l>y selling him the piece or otherwise, That the Survey Department be again written to asking if there is a plan in the afSue showing/all the roads in the district, and if so, would they furnish the Board with a tracing, the Board being Willing to pay tor the samei That Mr Manns be permitted to remov« gravel under the the Board's and to pay mto of 3d per load. . That the Cl6rk write to Mr D. Baker and the Secretary of the Tiraumea-PuktJ-toi Special Settlement Association informing them that until the Government furnishes the Board with a plan showing, the roads in question the Board has no knowledge of their existence, and does not recognise any responsibility in thft matter. . That the Clerk write to the Maat-«»n Road Board atuting that this lWStd will heartily «u*uperate with them in the matter <?o«tained in their circular, and asking what line of action they purpose pursuing to give effect to the resolution. That Mr McLachlan's letter be roplied to m a similar way to previous applications of the same nature. The Overseer's report was read,. also statement on the removing totara piles from off the gravel reserve, and the overseer's report was adopted. The Treasurer read a statement of the Board's expenditure on the roads in the district, also of the general rates 1884-6, and 1885-6, showing that there was only £6 6s 9d in arrear. It was resolved, That as tMkimbar referred to by Mr Greville was Taken off the gravel reserve, the boundaries of which were pointed o.ut to the Overseer by one of Mr Greville's men when the contract was let fot metalling the Township Reserve Road, the Board considers that the Reserve was handed over to their eharge, and that no explanation was due to Mr Greville.

That as the Road Boards have ultimately the completion of all road work a carried out by the Survey Department, This Board is of opinion th"t they ajp justified in requesting tube consulted to the form ancfe preliminary work should take.
