Timaru, June U, A preliminary enquiry into the wreck of the Lytteltou was held this afternoon at 2 o'clock before the Collector of Customs, The vessel still rests on an even keel, but waves are washing over her. Mr Marchant, Engineer to the fjftrbor Board, while taking soundings came across something about ten chains from the ship shoreward. He does not know yet whether it is the Littleton's anchor, some wreckage or a rock. Pra representatives were not permitted to be present.
