In the House of Commons last night Mr H, H. Fowler, Financial Secretary to the Treasury, stated, in reply to questions, lie was not aware Germany had made arrangements to chaige two pence half-penny for postage on letters to Australia. Mr Fowler added he had reasons be believe the OolQnies belonged to the Postal Union. He objected to anj reduction in rate.
