» London, May 19. ' The Cricket- match Australia v Nottingham; was continued at Nottino. ; ham to-day; The rain which had pre- ! vailed for some days past cleared off , and the weather, was v.fine. During the match the attendance was verv i good. The wicket had recovered from the effects of the wet and there was fairly lively bowling. The Australian team was much admired being hh a rule dead oh the wicket hi/ they seemed hardly to work to-gether yet. Their fielding was rather weak and several good chances' were missed. ■ The Australians who the previous evening had one wicket do™ for fifty nms, .resumed their innings and put together 108 before they were disposed of. The principal scorers were Bonner howled, 20; Scott, howled, 23; Garrett, run out 3,0. The Home team then went to the wickets and made 104, the most prominent run getters bein° Selby, caught, 22: Shaddock, bowled" 14; Shew, not. out, 15; Sherwin, bowled, 14. The Australians then went in for their second innings, and time was called when they had scored 12 for one innings. As the first day was lost on account of the rain the match could not be plaved out, and a draw was.therefore declared. Sydney, May 20.
