(f) The borrowing and raising of any sum or sums of money for tho purposes of the company, from any person or persons, for any period or periods, and either' by receiving the same on deposit, or .by the issue of debentures, or by the giving of a mortgage over any property of the company, or by transfer by way of mortgage of any securities to the company, and the paying of interest' on such monies ao borrowed at sucli rate or rates as may be agreed upon.
