A NEW TEMPERANCE LEAGUE.
Tho Toledo Blade, '•' Nasby's" journal, which fights, valiantly to "pulverise the rum-power," has initiated a movement to organiso' the young folks into what'lt calls the " Blade Temperance Legion," with the motto, "Of ourselves we will be masters." It prints the following pledge and with it from week to week, the names and addresses of those are appended to it:-" Wo Whereby promise ourselves that frdmHhia time until we are twenty one jvo will not taste intoxicating liquateflrany kind, and we will exert ■allow influence to irevent their use by others, Witnessw names,". It has already enrolled nearly two thousand names. It is to be hoped that at twento-one allwill be disposed to continue the pledge of total abstinence for life.
