OPENING OF THE INDO-COLON-IAL EXHIBITION.
THE QUEEN AND PRINCE OF WALES. (United Press Association.) Wellington, this day. The Government have received a verbatim report of the Prince of-Wales' address, the Queen's speech, and Lord Tennyson's ode at the opening of the Indian and Colonial Exhibition, by cable. The Governor has cabled as follows : "To His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales, London. Tho Governor. and Government of New Zealand, on behalf of the colony, acknowledge with respectful thanks the receipt of telegram. They heartily congratulate Your Royal Highness on the opening of the Exhibition being so groat-a success, which is so greatly duo to your gracious exertions." '"To Her Majesty the Queon,- The Governor and Government of New Zealand, on behalf of the Colony, most humbly tender to Your Majesty their respectful thanks for the great honor conferred on the the colonies by Your Majesty opening tho Exhibition."
