School Committee Elections.

I have the pleasure to inform you that at the meeting of householders on Tuesday evening to elect a School Committee, the attendance was very good. No less than twenty attended, and great interest ttas taken in the election of anew committee. Mr 0. F. Goodrick was chosen Chairman of the meeting. After a little explanation the nomination of householders to form a new committee commenced, when Messrs R. Donald, Dunn, Garritt, Andoraon,, Manning, Adams, O'Connor, Smith and Hercock were nominated. There being more than seven a ballot was taken, and the following were elected: —ft. Donald 29, Anderson 15, Garritt 12, Manning 9, Adams 9, O'Connor 9,_ Hercock 8. The newly elected committee then held a meeting, and Mr Robert Donald waß elected Chaiiman, Mr Manning, Secretyry, and Mr Ad»m« Treasurer. The meeting then adjourned until the following evening, when the bad results of the last examination will bo seen into. There are thirty-two children on the register, twenty-one were presented,.and ton passed, which is anything but satiifactory.

. BELVEDERE. The following were eloptod:—T. Edwards, H. Edwards, H. Clark, R. Butler, Geo. Stevens, Geo. Burnett, and E. Morgan (Chairman). WAIHAKEKE. The following yere elected:—Meesrs I. Warrington, E. Maunsell, 1. Strawbridge, R. Goodin, T. Strawbtidao, Monorief, and H. Braithwaite (Chairman), WANOAIHU. A meeting of houHoholders wsa hold in the school house on the 27th inet, when the following were elected t new committee Messrs Shaw, James, McMullen, Jackson, McKay, Falloon, and McKenzie.' Mr McKenzio was re-oleotod Chairman, and Mr Falloon Treasurer. MORRISON'S BUSH. Ward, Wood, Mitchell, Knupp, M?Intyro, Johnston, and H. Morrison. 'PAHIATUA.
