The adjourned' examination of James Check was called on, but as thero was no appearance of the bankrupt, and the Official Assignee stated there was no further evidence, tho examination was declared closed. . ' Walter Henry Gaby T For public examination.—No appearance of baukru.pt. Examination declared closed. Patrick Cockery—Application to annul bankruptcy.—Mr Skipper appeared' for applicant. The Official Assignee announced that all proved claims had been paid. Application granted,
James H. Grattan came up for public examination. Tho bankrupt was ordered to apply for his discharge on June 23rd. William J, Gamblin was ordered to come up for public examination on June 23rd.
George Coulston Saee was ordered to apply for his discharge at the next sitting of tho Court on June 23rd,
In the matter of George Bowles.—A summons on Mary Ann Bowles to shew cause why certain proporty made'over by bankrupt to his wife, within throe years of the time of his being adjudicated a bankrupt, should not be placed in the hands of the Official Assignee for the benefit of his creditors in the estate,Mr Bunny appeared for the Official Assignee. The adjudication of the bankrupt was proved by the Clerk of the District Court.
Mr Sellar the deputy official assignee gave evidence as to the amounts of assets and liabilities filed, He also stated. that from enquiries made a large.portion of the liabilities in the estato were incurred prior to the deed being executed to Mr Bowles in 1885.
In the absecne of Mr E. Shaw, solicitor, of Wellington, who had been subpo?ned in this case, His Honor adjourned the farther hearing till ,3 o'clock.
