Amved-Tasmania ( rom Melbourne (February 11), Adelaide, April 1, The quarterly returns published today give the total revenue for the past quarter at £448,000 being a decrease of £213,000 compared with the corresponding'period of last yeur, Tlie railway revenue for the quarter shows a falling off of £50,000. It is considered inevitable that there will be a large deficiency in the financial year. Melbourne, April 2. The first quarterly revenue returns published to-day show the total revenue for the past three months to be £100,000,780, being an increase on the corresponding quarter of last vear of £102,000. The Customs and Railways revenues show an increase of £52,000 and £38,000 pounds respectively, while the Land revenue has decreased £41,000. London, April I.
