ASSISTED PASSAGES TO NEW ZEALAND.
The following advertisement is clipped from an English paper:—"Tho AgeufcGeneralis prepared to entertain applications for assisted passages in direct steamers from farmers and agriculturists who are desirous of taking up and settling on land in New Zealand. Families re,, coiving third-class passages will hdye to pay £lO for each, adult, and. £5 for each' 1 th,e ages of o'no and twelve years, Each head of a family must show that 'he is 'possessed 'of £loo'in cash, ■ besides £SO for each member of his, ■ family over twelve years of age. Families approved for the third class' may hayo second class passages, by paying the differr ence between the second and third fares. Application forms/can be' obtained at the office of the Agent-Generatls,.' New Zealand, 7 Westminster Chambers,' < London, S.W., or from Mr A. 0." Ottywell, 6 Shandwick pkee, Edinburgh.— W. Keknaway, January, 1886."
