R.M. COURT.
MASTERTON-THIS DAY. Before H. A. Stratford, R,M. THE ALLEGED CATTLE STEELING CASE. John Pollock was charged with stealing 3 calves from Nils Christiansen, of Taratahij on 22nd December. Inether information was laid charging John Pollock, John Burrow, and John Frebody with stealing and receiving tho said calves, *" Mr Bunny appeared for prosecution and Mr Beard for defence. ' _ Mr Bunny asked that the last information should be heard to expedite matters. Mr Beard objected on the ground that auffieinet time had not been given to prepare defence, and asked that an adjournment be. granted, for two hours for that purpose, ' ' " Biis Worship ruled th,at defence could apply at the end of the w for an adjournment if necessary,,' and % case was proceeded, with,"all witnesses being ordered out of Court. " In opening the/'case, M*, Bunny, adressed the Court at some length, tho information boing laid under section 10 of the Larceny Act, [Left Silting.]
