WAIRARAPA WEST COUNTY COUNCIL.

'A meeting of the above Council was held on Saturday. Present-Crs W. Booth (Chairman), H. Bunny, H, R, Bunny, H. Braithwaite, W. C. Buchanan, J. Tully, A. Mathews, and C. Phillips, The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed.

Some discussion took place re the borrowing of £7OO from the Featherston Road Board. The matter was allowed to stand over till next meeting!

A letter was read from the United Pistript Bpard re Charitable Aid.

Or H, Bunny stated that the letter had, been sent without the consent of the Board, and there was no necessity for discussing the matter.—The Clerk was authorised to forward a reply.

Cr Phillips desired to bring a petition forward, but he was ruled out of order, as he had not given tho notice required by the Act. The Engineer's report was read and adopted. The Clerk applied for an increase of salary, as a bonus for past servioos. The matter was allowed to stand over till next meeting. This concluded the business.
