Masterton is much indebted to Mr Caselberg's holiday trips. A year ago, when he took his vacation, ho satisfied himself from observations in other centres that Gas could be introduced with advantage into this town, and now our Gasworks are in the course of erection, During his trip last month, our worthy Mayor made Steam Fire Engines a subject of observation while travelling, and the result is that the Borough Council, on his recommendation, have resolved to have one if possible. We shall soon be able to say to Fire Insurance Agonts " Gentlemen, you tiro charging us too high rates!"
