Amount of stake will be posted up on tho course at tho end of tho first day's racing. RULES AND REGULATIONS. To be run under the Wairarapa Jockey Club rules, when not contrary to theso regulations. The saddling bell will riug at 11,30 each day, and the first race starts at 12 o'clock. The time for starting each event will bo duly posted on the courso after each preceding race. No person will bo allowed 'to enter a horse for any race (hack raco excepted) unless he be a Subscriber of at least £1 tp the raco fund, ■ Tlireo entries, or tho publio money will be tbeld., v No scratching of horses allowed, unless through the secretary, and 15 minutes before the time of starting. ,The starter has tho power to place fractious or kicking horses, or disobedient jockeys in any position ho thinks necessary w secure a fair start. All entries to be mado in writing, coaled and addressed to the secretary, entrance money enclosed, with name, age at the time of entry, and pedigree of the horse, namo of tho owner, and colors of the rider. . In all nominations for handicaps the previous performances aro to bo given. All jockeys to rido in proper racing costume, and any jockey riding except in colors entered will bo fined two sovs, No entry will bo accepted unless accompanied with the amount of entrance money, npr will any entry be received after the dates and hours inontioned under any pretence whatever, No entry will bo received for any of the races excopt on these conditions: That all disputes and objections arising out of the races shall bo decided by a majority of the stewards present •or those whom they may appoint.
