And secure some of tliß CHEAPEST BARGAINS EVER OFFERED IN THE WORLD. T HENRY FLOCKTON, Proprietor 1, of the VARIETY STOKES, respectfully desire to intimate to my thousands of customers :ind patrons that the- whole of the immense stock of Furniture, Ironmongery,. China, Crockery, Glassware, Brushware, Spring Mattresses, Bedsteads, Blankets, Carpets, Ruga, Pictures, Ornaments, Cutlery, E.P, Ware, and General Household Requisites require to be sold and cleared out within the next few weeks. The rewon which makes this great Clearing Sale imperative is that the present buildings which form The Variety Store have become utterly inadequate in accommodation for tho requirements of an immense and daily increasing business. living thoroforo secured an extended lease of tho site of my present place in Manners-street, I intend at once to pull down tho present buildings, and erect a NEW VARIETY STORE in their place, consisting of Spacious and Commodious Two-storey Premises, specially adapted for tho requirements of my business. 1» enable this to be done, the 'whole of the extensive stock must be atonco sold, I have, therefore, opened a GREAT CLEARING SALE, at which tho goods arc- offered at prices so Marvellously and Unproccdently Cheap that they aro certain to be eagerly and rapidly bought up by the public at large. Any ofthf many thousands of people who have visited the Variety Stores during tho last four years will remember what an immense and . diversified stock it contains, and how amazingly cheap wero the prices of tho articles. The whole of that stock is now open for Unreserved Sale at such prices as will astound everybody by their unprecedented Cheapness. Four and a half years ago 1 commenced business on a plan of my own, which I may say was uniquoin its character, and never before attempted by any other man in tho colony. My system was to buy and sell ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING OF GENERAL USE. I hied to bo " AN UNIVERSAL PROVIDER," and to offer to the public every description of articles which they might require at far cheaper prices than they could be bought at any other store in Wellington. I kept on sale an immense s'ock, comprising an enormous variety of goods, and thus enabled my customers and the public to procure in most cases from The Variety Store, all that they may require, in one call, instead of being obliged to visit half-a-dozen stores to complete their purchases, From the vmy first 1 found that this system of UNIVERSAL PROVIDING was appreciated ■ and largely supported by the community at large. _ By carefully studying all the possible requirements of the public; by treating my customers md patrons with civility, courtesy, ind attention; by purchasing cheaply, and selling cheaply for cash ; and by Riving good quality at the lowest possible prices, 1 found that my business rapidly extended, until at the present time it has attained such large dimensions that I am obliged to dear out all my present Btock in One Immense Sale, pull down the old place, and erect in its stead new and extensive premises, whore I will be »'dlb to carry on business on a more extensive scale than ever, and adequately meet the requirements, conYonience, and comfort of my many thousands of customers. SFTHIS SALE IS AN HONEST AND GENUINE ONE. I must sell every articlo of my stock. Everything must be cleared out, and that without dolay. The prices will therefore be fixed on such a sca!e of cheapness as to make a speedy rale an absolute certainty. I heartily and sincerely thank my old customers for their support in the past, and urgently invite them to come to • the present sale and securo tho benefit of the cheap bargains offered. I also appeal to the public generally to Tißib the VARIETY STORE, and sharo the advantage of the wonderfully low prices. This is tho GRANDEST CHANCE ' EVER PLACED BEFORE THE WELLINGTON PUBLIC. Everything required in a household will bo offered at this Great Clearing Sale. There is something for everybody in the stock of the VARIETY STORE, and everyone who makes a purchase will get far bettor value for their money than they ever did before in their lives. Finally, and as a last word, I call upon each and all—upon city residents and country settlers—to come to TtiE GREAT CLEARING SALE and secure somo of the splendid Bargains offered by me, HENRY FLOCKTON, At ibb Vasieiv Store, Makhers-street, Weuinok
