[United Press Association. [J Auckland, this day. Arrived—Mararoa from San Francisco. She left San Francisco on the 17th January, one day late, and arrived at Honolulu at 9 a.m. on the 25th, left at 2.30 a.m. on the 26th, called, off Tutuila on 2nd February, sighted Mariposa at 6 a.m. on the 4th instant. She encountered heavy southwest wind and. sea, increasing to heavy gale, which only moderated the day before reaching Honolulu. Passengers for Auckland (saloon) Mr and Mrs Laifihley and three children, Mr and Mrs Weaver, Messrs Hunter, Gilbert, George, and Henderson, Miss Grey for Sydney. She brings 90 tons of cargo for Auckland, and takes 200 tons of coal. The Rotorua leaves this morning from Manukau with southern mails. The Mararoa brings no Samoan news of importance but reports the loss of the Ransome schooner of Auckland wrecked at Pleasant Island on October 4th, no lives were lost. " The Marryeppa schooner was lost at Ngatika, Caroline Islands, in July. The Crew were saved. George Heuderson, supercarge of the Ransome is a passenger by the Mararoa. Auckland, this day. . The bodies of Mrs Turnbull and her two young children have been found near the Whangarei Heads. The mails which arrived here from Samoa, reports that the German warship Albatross left Samoa for Todga on January 17th.—An United States war vessel is expected at Apia to look after American interests.—The native village at Malina Peninsular is perfectly deserted.—Things are quiet, but the Germans are held in detestation. The proprietors of the Herald chartered the steamer Glenelgat £4O, and proceeded to the scene of the reported wreck of the North Cape.
