WELLINGTON CHARITABLE AIDS BOARD.

Wellington, this day. At a meeting of the United District Board the Chairman reported the result of the deputation that waited on the Government regarding funds, was that the Government had refused to grant any further money, so he supposed that the Board would have to arrange with its hankers. It appeared to him that counties would havo to provide fclie bulk of charitable aid. It was resolved " That pending full return of all expenditure within the United Board District for benevolent purposes boing laid before the Boavd, the question of subdivision, under clause 22, and the striking off of the rate be postponed till Wednesday, the 24th inst."
