RULES AND REGULATIONS. All entries must be made subject to the condition that ivll disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by a majority of Stewards present, or whom they may appoint, and that such decision shall bo final and binding in all cases. Nominations for Handicap Hurdle Race, Taratahi -Carterton Jockey Club Handicap, and Clarcvillo Handicap, to be mado in vriting, stating name, pedigree, performances, description and name of horse, and the colors of the rider, and to bo sent in accompanied by the nomination fco to the Hon, Secretary, G. W. .Deller, Carterton, on or before AVetlnoaday, 3rd '.February, 1886,9 p.m. Weights to be declared on or 'before Monday, the Bth February, 188G, and jiubliahed in local newspapers. Acceptances and General entries to bo made on or before Friday, 12th Fobruary, 1886, at 9 p.m. Three entries, or tho public money will be with-held. No protest will be considered unless lodged with the Secretary within ten minutes after the race, accompanied byadeposit of two ■ pounds, which shall be forfeited if the Stewards are of opinion that tho protest is frivolous or vexatious. All jockeys to ride in the colors nominated, or a fine of 1 sov will bo enforced. The saddling bell will ring at 11.30 a.m., first race to start at 12 noon, sharp. The rules of tho Club to apply in all cases where not provided for.in this programme. . A horso to run in the Hack and Hack Hurdle Eaces must comply with tho following conditions, viz. (1) It must be in actual use as a bona fide hack, . _ (2) ■ It must not have been trained, i.e. galloped or sweated in clothing or rug, at least for Bix months before this race meeting, (3) It must never have been entered for any other race, the advertised stake of which . feeing more than fifty pounds, (4) It must not, for two years previous to this raco meeting,, have started for any race except a Ifcwk or Hack Hurdlo Eaoo, .
