SUICIDE IN A LOCK-UP.

Woodville, this day.A prisoner named James Cameron, alias Barlow, hanged himself in the lockDp last night. The prisonor was being taken to Masterton to answer a charge of obtaining money by false pretences. It appears ho took a strap which jje had previously concealed on his person, and fastened it to the grating of the cell, and then slippo.d liia head through the noose. A son of (lis was sleeping in the coll with him, but _ knew nothing of it until awakened jn the morning. An inquest Will fre hold.
