Many residents in Masterton are puzzled to know who to record their votes for at the coming Licensing elec tion. We have been asked if thereisany independant unpledged candidateoutof nine put forward, and have replied that as far as we are aware there is not one who has not definitely promised either to support or oppose the increase of licenses in the Borough, If we are wrong in the assumption we trust the candidates will set us and the public right by openly expressing their viows.
